The property is beautiful, staff attentive. I stayed almost two weeks. When I first arrived, the person at the desk changed my room to be as far away from smokers as possible when I mentioned I could smell smoke in the lobby and was allergic. The property was also out of the flooding area which was great. Chiang Mai had the worst flooding in at least 30 years but this place never had water issues. I was injured as a result of something that happened in the flood water away from the property and the staff was so helpful, so attentive. The person who cleaned my room daily Ging I think, helped me get to a cab when heading to the hospital when I could barely walk only hop. Upon leaving, She must have seen me struggling with my luggage , and when I came from settling my bill, she had carried all my bags out for me. That was the best stay I ever had, the people and the property are amazing. I had a great interaction with every staff member. I don’t think I have ever stayed in a place where I was in years to leave. It’s no joke, I was trying to get away so fast so they wouldn’t see me crying, I highly recommend!!!!

A pleasant room with small balcony; excellent shower with plentiful hot water. Big fridge. An excellent outdoor pool which catches the sun at all hours. Really incredible value for money. It's not in the old town but as a result it is part of the local community with local shops etc.

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was really very spacious and we slept great because it was so dark at night. Yes, the beds were very firm, but this is actually much better for your health and we loved it. Bathtub was so lovely to have. And there's also a Poolhouse where you can sit and chat or work. Nice and quiet location, with an expensive Western and a cheap local restaurant both just around the corner. Very clean inside, and we never had any ants or anything, even though it's ground floor and right in front of the garden. Garden was very well kept and beautiful.

During my stay at S48 Chiang Mai, I discovered it to be a hidden gem. While it's slightly outside the main town area, this could either be a drawback or a feature depending on your preferences. The distance lends it a serene atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle, making it ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Yet, it’s close enough to the city that attractions remain accessible. There is a beautiful temple park where one can also spend time mediating. It is about 10 minutes walk. Excellent staff. Excellent WiFi. Location and Accessibility S48 is situated a bit out of town, providing a quieter environment. For those wanting to explore Chiang Mai, transportation options like Grab are readily available and affordable. Trips to central locations or attractions such as the Old City or the Night Bazaar are straightforward and cost-effective. Dining Options While the hotel itself offers dining options, the nearby Lupin Café Plus provides a more diverse menu in a cozy setting. For budget travelers, supermarkets are within an 8-minute walk, offering a variety of snacks and meal options. Preparing your breakfast or enjoying a casual meal at the hotel can be a convenient choice. Cultural and Natural Attractions The highlight of the area is its proximity to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, perched on Doi Suthep mountain. The temple is a must-visit for its stunning architecture and panoramic views of Chiang Mai. Another hidden gem is Wat Pha Lat, a serene temple nestled in the jungle, perfect for those looking to escape the crowds. These attractions are accessible via affordable taxi or Grab rides, with costs averaging $15 USD for a half-day trip. S48 is my favorite hotel that I have stayed in thus far in this Thailand trip . The people who are working there greeted me very warmly. The room was quite comfortable and quiet. I don't usually choose a twin bed but it was all that was available. It was very comfortable. Very nice bathroom. I do appreciate when the shower is partitioned off . The breakfast in the morning is very good. Better than usual hotel Faire. Lastly the pool is nice and clean. S48 will be the first place that I book in Chiang Mai.

My room was well appointed and very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. I felt the location was perfect, it was safe, quiet and it's situated just outside of the city center which made getting around very easy. I would definitely stay here again.

the room was lovely, spacious and modern, nice pool. it seems like they have hundreds of staff and every staff member I had dealings with was super helpful, always smiling and pleasant. Great customer service. I arrived at 9am just hoping to drop off my bag but they managed to shuffle things around and I could check in then and there! again my last day I spent by the pool till the evening with luggage in storage.

Amazing clean and well maintained property in a peaceful neighbourhood. Staff were very courteous and guided well about the activities and places around. This hotel is 10mins drive from the “Touristy Place (old town)” but has good access to cabs. It has a great pool too!! I would definitely stay here the next time I visit Chiang Mai!! Highly recommended. Didn’t really click pictures, but I’m uploading screenshots of a video that I took of the room alotted to me.
